What is TARS?

TARS is NOT an optimization tool (PC Booster). TARS is an advanced synchronization and profile management tool that securely stores the game and system settings that professional gamers have manually configured on their own computers, allowing them to apply these exact settings to any other computer.

What Does It Do?

TARS does not speed up your computer or interfere with your system using its own algorithms. Its main task is to package the settings that are already on your computer and optimized by you, and move them to the cloud. This way, whether it's an internet cafe, a tournament venue, or a new computer, you can play as if you were on "your own computer" in any environment.

What Does TARS Backup?

Whatever settings you have applied, TARS secures and carries them for you. Below are all categories TARS backs up:

Games & Graphics
Game Settings
Config files from LocalAppData and Documents for installed games — sensitivity, FOV, graphics, and audio settings.
NVIDIA Settings
Global and per-game NVIDIA profiles. Low Latency, AA, Shader Cache, Texture Filtering and 300+ setting IDs read directly from the driver via NvAPIWrapper.
Visual Effects
Windows animation, shadow, and transparency settings. When performance mode is applied, Windows default templates are overridden to make the changes permanent.
Fullscreen Optimizations (FSO)
GameDVR_FSEBehaviorMode and GameDVR_FSEBehavior registry values. Does not interfere with Game DVR/Game Mode.
Windows Game Mode
AutoGameModeEnabled registry value. Controls how Windows prioritizes background tasks during gaming sessions.
Mouse & Keyboard
Mouse Settings
EnhancedPointerPrecision (acceleration), speed threshold, and all mouse registry values under HKCU Control Panel.
Keyboard Settings
Keyboard delay and repeat rate settings. All keyboard behavior registry values under HKCU Control Panel.
Cursor Theme
Active Windows cursor scheme, .cur and .ani cursor files, and all registry settings under Control Panel\Cursors.
Accessibility
StickyKeys blocker. Disables accessibility features that may be accidentally triggered during gaming.
System Performance
Power Plan
The active Windows power plan is exported as a .pow file. High Performance, Balanced, or Ultimate Performance plan is restored via GUID.
HAGS
Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling. Allows the GPU to manage its own scheduling, reducing frame time variance. Read/written via Win32 API; requires a reboot.
CPU Priority
Win32PrioritySeparation value. Controls how much CPU time foreground applications receive compared to background processes.
MMCSS
Multimedia Class Scheduler Service. GPU Priority and Scheduling Category values — increases CPU access priority for game threads.
Memory Management
LargeSystemCache and DisablePagingExecutive registry values. Adjusts RAM usage behavior and paging optimization.
System Tweaks
WaitToKillServiceTimeout and StartupDelayInMSec including shutdown/startup behavior optimizing registry values.
MSI Mode
Message Signaled Interrupts. IRQ optimization for PCI devices (GPU/NIC) — reduces interrupt latency to stabilize frame times.
Windows Services
Startup type configuration of non-critical Windows background services. Disabled service list is backed up and restored.
Network & Security
Nagle Algorithm
TcpAckFrequency and TCPNoDelay registry values. Per-NIC TCP latency optimization that improves game server ping consistency.
Hosts File
The %SystemRoot%\etc\hosts file is backed up in full. After restore, ipconfig /flushdns is automatically triggered.
Privacy & Telemetry
Windows data collection and telemetry restriction settings. Diagnostic Data level and related privacy registry values.
Local Group Policies (GPO)
GPO values under SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft. Only Microsoft policies are captured; Adm templates and large files are filtered out to prevent bloat.
Windows Interface
Explorer & Taskbar
15+ registry keys: Hidden file visibility, TaskbarAl (left/center alignment), Legacy Context Menu, file extensions, transparency and more.
App Compatibility
Application compatibility flags under AppCompatFlags and Layers. Runtime mode and compatibility layer configuration for specific programs.
App Debloat
Management of unnecessary Windows UWP packages. Which apps were removed is recorded; the same clean install state can be reapplied on demand.

Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller and Communication

This privacy notice is intended to inform you about the processing of your personal data within the scope of Tarsv2 services. The data controller is the Tars Ecosystem. For any questions, requests, or applications regarding your rights concerning your data, you can contact us at support@tarspro.online.

2. Data and Privacy

Your profile data (Windows Registry, Nvidia profiles, in-game config files, etc.) is end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) using AES-256-GCM standard with specific keys derived on your device based on PBKDF2. Within the scope of your explicit consent, your encrypted backup packages are processed and stored on servers located outside of Turkey (Cloudflare R2 infrastructure). The decryption process is performed directly in your device's RAM without leaving any trace on the disk. Your encryption key is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers; if you lose this key, it is technically impossible to access your encrypted backups (Zero-Knowledge).

3. Data Collection

Only your Steam ID is collected for authentication purposes. Your IP address and client information (User Agent) are stored on our servers to ensure connection security, prevent API abuse, and fulfill our legal obligations. To provide system optimization and profile synchronization, summary metadata of your system configuration, such as installed game names, basic hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, Disk type), and screen refresh rate, are scanned and sent to our servers as unencrypted (plain text) metadata. However, the configuration files (config) and registry contents of these games are completely encrypted on your device (E2EE) before being transmitted to the server. For the Steam privacy policy: store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement

4. Hardware and Settings Sharing

Users may choose to display and share their hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, Disk type, etc.) and synchronized in-game settings (graphics, sensitivity, resolution, etc.) with other players on the Tars website (tarspro.online) at their own discretion. This data is published on the website only upon your explicit consent and request given via the client or web panel. Tars management reserves the right to unpublish or delete public profiles containing illegal, abusive, offensive, or spam content without prior notice.

5. Account and Security

Abusing the Tars infrastructure (attempts to exceed API limits, reverse engineering, using the platform for malicious or illegal purposes, etc.) may result in the permanent termination of your account without prior notice. Your Steam account security is entirely your responsibility.

6. Premium and Payments

Premium membership purchases are made through Steam. Since it is digital content, refund requests are subject to Steam's refund policy. Tarsv2 holds no responsibility or liability regarding refunds.

7. Disclaimer of Liability

Tarsv2 is a powerful synchronization and optimization tool that directly interacts with critical system settings such as Windows registry settings, system services, power plans, hardware scheduling, processor priorities, user interface configurations, and NVIDIA 3D driver profiles. The software is provided 'as-is'. The impact of the changes made on system stability is entirely the user's responsibility. Tarsv2 and its developers cannot be held liable for any system crashes, data loss, hardware or software incompatibilities, or any other direct or indirect damages that may arise from the use of the software. Likewise, any risks arising from downloading and applying profiles shared by other users within the Tars ecosystem belong solely to the downloading user.

8. Age Restriction

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Tarsv2. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use this service.

9. Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of all data associated with your account (backups, hardware information, and profile records). You can submit your deletion request via our support channel or Discord. Due to security and legal obligations (e.g., mandatory log retention laws), IP and connection logs will continue to be stored for 180 days independent of your account deletion request, and will be automatically deleted at the end of this period. Your requests will be processed within 30 days. Additionally, you reserve the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or your local data protection authority within the EU borders.

10. Modifications

This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be notified through the application. By continuing to use the service, you agree to the updated policy.
